Why are we put through the torture?

The navy has done it to me again. I've been torn away from the people that mean the most to me. Sure, I've had this happen before, but you don't really care as much when you're younger. It just seems like everyday just grows longer everyday I don't see them. I usually let my feelings get the best of me, and that's why I probably feel this way.
